When we build community we want to aim to provide a certain amount of consistency, but perhaps not too much and not too little. Ala Goldilocks principle.
It takes time to get to understand everything a community does. It’s an investment from a member to understand where and how all the pieces fit together. People don’t have time or energy to always be investing to understanding what is going on, but that doesn’t mean things can’t change.
We want a beat of a drum to feel the flow, but we also want to build upon our community flywheel by injecting something different. Something that will make us lift our head up and pay attention. Something that moves with the times.
The beat provides the consistency and sustainability, the experiments bring new opportunities for community growth.
